Richard Hill is the Submarine Cable Specialist at Waves Group, an independent engineering consultancy. He guides subsea cable projects across several regions, overseeing system specification, design, risk management and installation operations. His work covers vessel operations, subsea equipment development and client representation onshore and offshore.

Richard leads technical and commercial matters linked to cable handling, laying, burial, repair and shore-end activities across telecom and power sectors. His role includes cable maintenance, several repair campaigns, cross-sector liaison and decommissioning oversight, along with contributions to industry forums and guideline development
