BIOGRAPHY

Stephen Hall has worked across ocean science, technology, and policy since 1990, with experience spanning the private, public, and charitable sectors. He has served as the Vice-Chair of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission and as Chief Executive of the Society for Underwater Technology.

Stephen’s career includes leading work in tsunami warning systems, ocean survey, and marine autonomous technologies, along with shaping ocean policy for the UK, EU, and United Nations. He continues to advise internationally on sustainable ocean governance and innovations.
